Are you ready for an adventure?
The Disney Adventure is now in Singapore! Not only is it the largest vessel in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, it is also the first to call Asia home. Designed to be both the journey and the destination, the Disney Adventure draws on more than 100 years of storytelling to bring beloved stories, characters and worlds to life in unforgettable ways.
Now that the Disney Adventure is sailing the high seas with three- and four-night voyages, there’s no better time to look back on the ship’s journey to Singapore – and discover exciting events celebrating the arrival. Of course, the best way to be part of the adventure is to step on board!
The Ship's Journey
The Disney Adventure’s journey began in Wismar, Germany, where the finishing touches came together over several months of construction. On 13 December 2025, Disney Cruise Line and shipbuilder Meyer Werft finalised the handover of the ship, bringing the Disney Adventure one step closer to home.
On 15 January 2026, the Disney Adventure arrived at its first stop at Port Canaveral, Florida, following a nearly two-week transatlantic crossing from Port Bremerhaven, Germany. Over 250 cast members were there to welcome the ship – alongside Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse! The Disney Adventure then embarked on the next leg of its journey, sailing through the Panama Canal before reaching Los Angeles on 9 February 2026.
The voyage continued across the Pacific Ocean as the ship sailed for another two weeks to arrive in Tokyo on 24 February 2026. The Disney Adventure was welcomed with a special drum ceremony before sailing off once more – this time for the final stretch to its homeport.
Excitement was buzzing across Asia Pacific, too! From Shanghai to Tokyo, Hong Kong to the Philippines, Disney cast members and a few special friends – Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps! Duffy! – joined in the fun, passing along the magic as the Disney Adventure continued on its way.
On 3 March 2026, the Disney Adventure finally arrived in Singapore at Marina Bay Cruise Centre, completing an extraordinary two-month journey around the globe. It was a historical moment for both the city and Disney Cruise Line, made even more special with a water salute, cheers from onlooking cast members and fans, and mesmerising fireworks. Welcome home, Disney Adventure!
A Magical Welcome
Continuing a time-honoured maritime tradition, the Disney Adventure was christened on 4 March 2026 – and the ceremony was nothing short of spectacular!
Taking place at the Walt Disney Theatre aboard the ship, where guests enjoyed an electrifying medley of iconic Disney, Pixar and Marvel tunes.
Inspired by the seven themed areas of the Disney Adventure, the musical extravaganza was brought to life by a 23-piece orchestra, stunning visual effects, and the voices of Hollywood Performing Arts Hall of Fame inductee Jed Madela and international recording artist Dami Im.
The performance featured a pre-recorded narration by globally acclaimed star Shah Rukh Khan, who also narrates The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky, the exciting firework spectacular that guests will get to experience onboard the Disney Adventure. (Did you know that Disney Cruise Line is the only cruise line to offer fireworks at sea?)
When the time came for the ceremonial blessings, Oscar-winning actor and Godparent of the Disney Adventure, Robert Downey Jr. took to the stage alongside Disney senior leadership and Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse to mark the momentous occasion.
“I’ve had the privilege of getting to know the team at Walt Disney Imagineering, and I can tell you Adventure is the perfect name for what they’ve created,” he said. “Being the Godparent of this majestic vessel is an honor, and I have some serious duties to perform, so let’s make it official, shall we?”
Then, Downey Jr. cued the orchestra, saying, “You bring the theme and I’ll bring the thunder,” followed by the official blessing, “I christen thee, Disney Adventure, may God bless this ship and all who sail upon her.”
The grand finale to such an unforgettable evening? A rousing rendition of Disney Cruise Line tradition and guest-favourite song “Let’s Set Sail”, where beloved characters from Disney, Pixar and Marvel – Duffy, Black Panther, Captain Jack Sparrow, Anna and Elsa, and so many more! – joined the celebration.
And with that – and a touch of Disney magic – the Disney Adventure is ready to embark on a new chapter at sea!

1. Changi Airport Terminal 2
For the first time ever at The Wonderfall, experience a captivating display inspired by the Disney Adventure’s seven themed areas. Set to a medley of fan-favourite melodies, the showcase features beloved stories and characters from Disney, Pixar and Marvel. Catch this limited-run feature at Terminal 2 daily from now until 31 May 2026, with screenings every 30 minutes.
2. Jewel Changi Airport
A new Disney Adventure photo spot has landed at the Forest Valley! With each side featuring stained glass-style artwork inspired by the seven themed areas on board, it’s a snapshot of the magic that awaits you at sea.
“The Magic of Adventure” Light & Music showcase also returns to the Jewel Rain Vortex. From 16 to 31 March 2026, be sure to catch the dazzling display that brings beloved Disney Characters to life through light and song – it’s a magical welcome to Singapore, or a perfect send-off after your cruise.
3. Marina Bay
